Relax, renew and rejuvenate in an intimate, peaceful setting amidst the sunny, coastal forest at the edge of the Point Reyes National Seashore. We are situated on twelve secluded acres overlooking a quiet, wild forested valley.

Awaken in the morning to the subtle scents of pine and bay outside your window. Listen to the cheerful call of migrating birds...especially West Marin's beloved osprey. The ospreys have nests here at the base of Mt. Vision.

We serve organic teas from Rover Benecke's Tea Fountain in Mill Valley and Rogers Family San Francisco Bay Blend organic coffee. These hot beverages accompany a fresh, tasty breakfast featuring the locally-grown and artisan foods for which West Marin is famous. These include selections from Bovine Bakery's delicious baked goods, Brickmaiden Bakery breads, artisan cheeses from Marin French Cheese Company, Cowgirl Creamery or Point Reyes Blue, jams from Wild Pear, McEvoy Ranch, and Point Reyes Preserves, yogurt, milk and butter from Straus Farms, and seasonal fruit from local growers.

After a great breakfast, head out to your favorite hiking trails or the inspiring Pacific Ocean and Tomales Bay beaches - Shell Beach and Chicken Ranch Beach are within 1 1/2 miles. We are within a 15-minute drive to Heart's Desire, Kehoe, and McClure's Beaches. Or drive out to the Point Reyes Lighthouse and Chimney Rock to see the awe-inspiring views of the Pacific Ocean.

Kayakers will appreciate our close proximity to Blue Waters Kayaking for rentals, lessons and guided trips. Point Reyes Outdoors in Point Reyes Station also provides guided trips, hikes, and events. If you have your own kayak, we have plenty of room for you to clean it up after your day on the bay.

We provide an ideal setting for adults who want the inspiration of nature and need a quiet, private place for reflection and creativity. Yet we are close enough to the West Marin towns that a quick drive will give you necessary breaks back into "civilization."

Osprey Peak has two quiet guest rooms (maximum two adults per room) with a full, private bath in each room. A comfortable queen-size bed with luxury 100% cotton sheets is in each. The immaculate Japanese farmhouse aesthetic is complemented with the modern conveniences of central heating, good reading lamps, free wireless Internet access, and an iPod-ready clock radio. Sustainable, organic bath and body amenities from family-owned EO Products of Corte Madera are provided. Original artwork by Nancy Beck graces the walls of the inn.

Osprey Peak is the perfect place for a personal retreat that relaxes and rejuvenates body, mind and spirit. Nancy provides Advanced Biodynamic Craniosacral sessions and customized seaweed/aromatherapy soaking baths. Tension and stress melt away as you soak up the scents and sights of the ancient Bishop pine forest.  Click on the "Subtle Bodywork" page for details.

We endeavor to make Osprey Peak the place you'll return to again and again when you need to relax and renew your sense of peacefulness and inspiration.

Sincerely,
David Herbst and Nancy Beck
